Overview

AnnaProBeauty (annaprobeauty.com) is the website of a private, single-technician nail studio in Pittsford, New York. This policy explains exactly what information the site collects, why, who else can see it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, for any purpose. We do not run advertising on this site and we do not share your details with advertisers or data brokers.

Information We Collect

Almost everything below is information you type in yourself. If you only read the site, the only thing recorded is an anonymous page visit.

We never ask for payment card details on this website. Payment happens in person at the studio, by cash, Zelle, or Venmo — none of which route through this site.

Cookies & Local Storage

This site itself sets no cookies. It does store two small values in your browser's local storage, and Google Analytics — described in the next section — sets its own cookies to count visits.

NameTypePurposeLifespan
apb-theme Local storage Remembers whether you chose the light or dark version of the site. Until you clear your browser data
apb-lang Local storage Remembers whether you're reading the site in English, Ukrainian, or Spanish. Until you clear your browser data
memberSession Local storage Keeps returning clients signed in to the members area, so the phone number isn't needed on every visit. Stores your first name and phone number on your own device only. 30 days
_ga, _ga_* Cookie (Google) Set by Google Analytics to tell one visit apart from another and count visitors. Up to 2 years

Local storage is not a cookie: it stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. You can clear all of it — including the members-area sign-in — through your browser's settings, or by using the "Switch" option in the members area to sign out.

If you would rather not be counted by Google Analytics, you can install Google's opt-out browser add-on, or use your browser's "Do Not Track" and tracker-blocking settings. The site works exactly the same either way — nothing on it depends on analytics.

Third-Party Services

These are the only outside companies involved in running this site. Each one is listed with what it actually receives.

How We Use Your Information

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. Messages you receive relate to an appointment or a request you made.

How Long We Keep It

Client records — your name, phone number, and visit history — are kept for as long as you remain a client, because they are how Anna remembers your appointments and your preferences. Booking requests and waitlist entries are kept as part of that history. Reviews stay published until you ask for one to be removed. Anonymous visit counts are kept indefinitely; they contain nothing personal to keep.

Ask us to delete your information and we will remove it, other than anything we are required to keep for tax or accounting purposes.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and information you submit is stored in a database that requires authentication to read. Only Anna can see client records, booking requests, and notes — through her own password-protected admin panel and phone app. Appointment confirmation links use a private, unguessable code so that only the person holding the link can act on that appointment.

No system is perfectly secure, and we won't claim otherwise. We keep the amount of information we hold deliberately small for exactly that reason.

Your Rights

Whatever your location, you can ask us to:

Just ask — by text, by email, or in person at your next visit. There is no form to fill in, and we won't charge you or make it difficult. If you are in California, the EU, or the UK, the rights your local law grants you (including access, correction, deletion, and the right not to have your data sold — which we never do) are honored the same way.

Children's Privacy

This site is intended for adults booking their own appointments and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. A parent or guardian who believes their child has submitted information here can contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to This Policy

If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it, and the "last updated" date at the top moves. There is no separate archive — this page always describes the site as it currently works.
